Marty Supreme is Josh Safdie's first solo directorial effort since The Pleasure of Being Robbed (2008), and his first narrative film that he both wrote and directed without his brother and longstanding creative partner Benny Safdie, after the brothers ended their collaboration following the release of Hiomattomat timantit (2019) to pursue their solo careers.
