Interesting facts
As a talented musician in real life, Thomas Stipsits composed the birthday song that his character Andy sings to the young policeman Georg himself. Director Josef Hader felt the original version sounded "far too good", so he and Stipsits collaborated to make the song deliberately rougher and more discordant, a performance more "inferior and jarring" that better suited the character's inebriated state.
