While held in Dastardly's brig in the 2020 film, Daphne notes that Scooby or Shaggy would be the ones to sit in a rigged chair or otherwise reveal a trapdoor. In most of the television series it was actually Daphne who would inadvertently trigger some kind of trap, which is why she earned the epithet 'Danger-prone Daphne' in the original series.
During the opening scenes, Scooby snatches a portion from a spit of gyros meat. A police officer reports it as a "grand theft gyro", pronouncing it "jai-roe" and continuing to use that pronunciation. Gyros is actually pronounced "yee-ros", so the humour fails to land.

During the flashback, when the gang are chased by the ghost in the haunted house, the apparition at first seems to be flying by himself as there is no visible string supporting him. However, before they realise he's fake, a string suddenly appears.
