As Isabelle leaves their 'tent', all three are naked. When she returns and lies back with the hose, all three are now wearing robes or shirts.

At the start of the film, Matthew hides a stolen photograph of Isabelle in his underpants so his hosts won't spot him with it. Several days later, after he loses a bet to Isabelle, she forces him to strip — and, bafflingly, the photograph is still tucked in his underpants despite the passage of days and his having worn entirely different clothes.

The way the father's hands rest when he realises Matthew isn't listening to him at the dinner table.

During the riot, as Theo and Matthew join a group distributing petrol bombs, the camera's shadow falls across Matthew's back.

At the film's end, Theo and Isabelle's parents return home and begin whispering to one another in flawless English rather than French. However, since Isabelle had told Matthew when they first met that her mother is English, it is not surprising they would be speaking English.
