Treasure Planet goofs

As B.E.N. moves in to embrace Jim for a second time, Jim says, "Will you just let go of me?" However, his lips do not move whilst he delivers the line.

As Doppler runs up the stairs during the pirates' attack on the inn, a sound resembling a window shattering can be heard, even though no laser fire occurs at that moment.

Dr Doppler is bound but frees himself by sliding his large hands out of loops tied around his "abnormally thin wrists." This runs counter to how wrist restraints actually work — they are intended to secure the hands because the wrist is narrower than the hand, so the loop would normally be too small for the hand to slip through.

Only in the Italian-dubbed version: when Captain Amelia gives the course, she says "south by south-east, 2-1-0-0". This is incorrect — 2-1-0 corresponds to south by south-west, as correctly stated in the original version.

Jim perches on the inn’s roof, listening in on Dr Doppler and his mum. He slips off the roof to meet a turtle-like alien that has crashed onto a ledge. When Jim carries the creature from its ship back to the inn, they find themselves on a dirt track much further away.

At the planet's centre, Jim is clinging to a wall while Silver hangs on to the ship brimming with Flint's treasures. In the wide shot John Silver and Jim Hawkins appear far apart. In the following close-up they are almost able to touch. In the next wide shot they are distant again.

Amid the supernova, a powerful gust of wind blows out every window in Captain Amelia's room. Later, however, when Doppler, Jim and Amelia are in the room, all the windows are shown to be intact.

As Mr. Arrow reprimands the crew for fighting, a mole on the side of Mr. Scroop's face keeps vanishing and then reappearing.

When the pirates attack the Inn, Doppler is at the front door when a laser blast rips through it. As he dashes up the stairs, the window to the left of the door is shown to have been shattered as well. Yet that window had been intact when the door was struck, and no further shots were fired before he began to run.

When the ships are outside a planet's gravity well, they use an artificial gravity system that can be switched on. When it is switched off, objects do not float freely; instead they are incorrectly repelled from the vessel and actively drift up and away from the ship's deck. This is not how the absence of gravity works — on both occasions the ship is shown to be in continuous motion, and there is no other obvious or in-universe explanation for this behaviour.

The unexplained artificial gravity mechanism might conceivably be an attraction/repulsion system. Artistic licence applies to artificial gravity as much as it does to explosions that cannot be heard in outer space.

When Silver first encounters Jim and Dr Doppler, he tucks his shirt in. Two shots later, it's untucked again.
