The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 goofs

(at about 47 minutes) When Esme and Carlisle arrive with their final witness, Alistair, Edward tells Carlisle that eighteen vampires have turned up; immediately afterwards Bella says in her voice-over: "We opened our home to eighteen vampires." This is incorrect, because with Alistair's arrival the total should be nineteen.

(at around 1 hour 13 minutes) Aro has a tendency to attack covens in order to 'collect' vampires who possess unusual talents. Yet when he brings his force to Forks, the only vampires showing extra abilities are the brother and sister from his inner circle. Meanwhile, about half of the Cullens are practically superheroes.

(at approximately 30 minutes) Renesmee is shown growing rapidly against a height chart. When she "pauses" and Carlisle places a book flat on her head to mark her height, the book sits at least an inch above the crown of her head.

(at roughly 1 hour 40 minutes into the film) By the film's end, when Bella and Edward are together in the meadow, they do not sparkle.

At the start of the film, Edward's hair conceals the mole on the right side of his neck. In the meadow sequence his hair is cut shorter and the mole becomes visible. In Alice's vision of the future his hair looks a little longer and conceals it again. His hair isn't meant to grow.

(at around 1 hr 25 mins) When Alice kicks Aro, he is hurled well behind everyone, yet in the very next shot he is shown back with the Volturi.

(around the one-hour mark) When Bella is in the cottage re-reading Alice's note, she turns it over to reveal the title page of The Merchant of Venice. There are no smudges on it at that point, but when she goes to the bookcase to take the book down, she opens it at the front and places the title page back, and now there are two distinct dark fingerprint smudges on the page.

(at about the five-minute mark) Near the beginning, as Bella and Edward run through the woods toward her first feeding, they pass a dandelion that rapidly bursts into bloom. The scene should convey time slowing down, rather than Bella appearing to speed up through time.

It has been made clear that Alice cannot perceive aspects of possible futures that involve the werewolves. Yet in this film she is shown glimpsing wolf-related futures with some degree of detail. It is also made plain that vampires can develop their gifts (for example, Bella learning to project her shield beyond her own body). In the novels it is explained that Alice initially cannot see wolves or hybrids because she has never been one, although it is possible she later developed her ability so she could perceive a species she had not previously encountered.

At roughly the four‑minute mark, in one shot Edward's wedding ring appears to be on his right hand, but that is only his reflection in a mirror.

(at around 1 hr 16 mins) The gravest offence is if vampires expose themselves to humans. While reading Edward's mind, Aro ought to have realised that Bella's father was already partly aware of vampires, having met Renesmee as well. That would have been sufficient grounds to eliminate the Cullens.

It is established that a newborn vampire is more powerful than an ordinary vampire. However, in the vision Bella must join forces with Edward to kill Aro.

This may be because she had scarcely any of her own blood left when she was turned.

(at around 37 minutes) When Jane tosses the immortal child into the flames to destroy it, it's plainly evident that it's just a doll.
