The Summer Book goofs

The film is set on an island in the Gulf of Finland in the Baltic Sea. A lengthy scene is devoted to the father watering the poplar tree (planted to honour his late wife) with salty sea water.

After leaping into the sea and swimming alongside his boat amid a storm, the father is soaked to the skin. He comes indoors, removes his coat and stands in a sodden T‑shirt. He walks over to his daughter and the film cuts to him embracing her, now wearing a dry T‑shirt.
