In a scene where Bob alights from the bus in "Harrisburg", a police cordon is plainly marked "City of Philadelphia".

The film is set in 1990, on the eve of the Persian Gulf War. In reality, neither of Pennsylvania's US Senate seats was up for re-election that year.
