The series "Sunny Downpour" revolves around a woman architect named Martha. She believes her life is fulfilled and happy until everything falls apart in an instant. First, a client rejects an important project, leading to Martha's boss firing her in a scandal. Then she discovers that her husband has a lover. To distract herself, Martha goes to a countryside resort near Moscow, where she falls in love with her peer Oleg. However, it turns out that Oleg's daughter is the girl whom Martha's own son is in love with.
