"The Technologist" is a Russian multi-series thriller that tells the story of a 30-year-old man whose life is the envy of many. Odnitsov is happily married and raising a child with his wife. He has a luxurious house and is surrounded by loyal friends. Additionally, he has achieved success in his profession as a specialist in a narrow but highly promising field of programming. However, his life is shattered when a mysterious stranger cynically kidnaps Odnitsov's loved ones and forces him to submit to his will.
