The story follows the relationships of several women from different countries who have found a new home in Hong Kong. Among the heroines is Margaret, an architect from the United States, who is worried about her new high-rise building project. There is also Mercy, a Korean woman trying to start a new life and escape the burden of her past, but somehow finds herself at the center of a scandalous incident. And then there's Hilary from the United Kingdom, who dreams of having a child despite her failing marriage...
