"The Long Shadow" is a crime drama about the most extensive manhunt in the history of Britain for a serial killer. Peter Sutcliffe, known as the Yorkshire Ripper, played a cat-and-mouse game with the police for over five years, brutally murdering his victims. From October 1975 to January 1981, over a thousand investigators, detectives, and officers pursued him. This case fundamentally changed the methods of the British police and opened society's eyes to several major social issues.
