The action takes place in a small town where mysterious murders suddenly start occurring. The victims of the criminal are girls who are raised in troubled families. Demidov, a law enforcement officer, takes on the investigation of the incidents. He himself has a family, with two daughters being raised in it. Demidov promises himself that he will catch the maniac, but after some time, he realizes that a series of clues point to... himself.
