The events take place in 2017. In the small suburban town of Serpukhov, a brutal act of violence occurs. Dmitry Grachev chops off his young wife Margarita's hands with an axe. Grachev did not plan to kill his wife; he intended to torture and torment her, taking into account the time it would take to reach the clinic.
