Chkalov (2012 - 2012)

"Chkalov" is a biographical series that reveals unknown chapters from the life of the famous Soviet pilot Valery Chkalov. The events take place in 1924, when a young and inexperienced Valera, along with his classmate Sasha Anisimov, graduate from the Serpukhov Flight School and are assigned to Leningrad. The friends join the Red Banner Fighter Squadron. In the sky, these two have no equals. However, their friendship is put to the test after they meet the young pianist Olga Orekhova.
