The series explores the complicated relationship between a father and daughter who must investigate crimes together and try to resolve long-standing grievances. Alice leads an expert group that deals with unsolved cases. While she is respected and authoritative at work, she faces difficulties in her personal life outside of her job. Soon, Alice's father, the renowned lawyer Kulagin, becomes her department's curator, and the two must find common ground.
