Torchwood (2006 - 2011)

The story revolves around a team led by Jack Harkness. Using technologies from various alien civilizations, the group of researchers investigates paranormal phenomena. The heroes are based in the capital of Wales, where the Torchwood Institute is located. As they monitor a spatial-temporal rift discovered in the city, Harkness' team must deal with unusual extraterrestrial beings and investigate crimes across modern-day Britain.
