The Knick (2014 - 2015)

"The Knick" is a noir drama series that tells the story of a hospital set in the early 20th century. All episodes were directed by American filmmaker Steven Soderbergh. The plot revolves around Dr. John Thackery, who must save patients' lives without the use of antibiotics and advanced technology. At the same time, he struggles with his addiction to narcotics. The lead role in the show is played by Clive Owen.
