The TV series "The Golden Calf" is a Russian comedic adaptation of the famous novel by Ilya Ilf and Evgeny Petrov. The events take place in the 1920s. Ostap Bender, a seeker of easy money and adventures, the son of a Turkish subject, miraculously surviving after the search for twelve chairs, returns to business once again. The great swindler finds another way to earn a tidy sum. To do this, he needs to deceive the underground millionaire Koreiko, and then he plans to leave for Rio de Janeiro.
