On the evening of September 23, a tourist group stranded on Mount Elbrus called the Ministry of Emergency Situations due to a sudden deterioration in weather conditions. During a major operation, rescue workers managed to evacuate 14 people, but five could not be saved. The guides, who were responsible for the ascent, found themselves in the courtroom.
