The protagonist of the dramatic series "Followers" is a young woman named Vera who dreams of having a child. She has been married to her beloved husband Andrei for a long time, but she is unable to conceive. Doctors give her a terrifying diagnosis: infertility. Conventional medicine offers her no hope, so the family decides to seek help from a renowned rural healer. Father Afanasiy truly performs a miracle: Vera becomes pregnant! However, the couple gradually realizes that they are being drawn into a frightening religious cult.
