The main character of the series "Believe Me" is Tanya Korneeva, the heiress of a huge fortune, who is hiding from her wealth and the problems associated with it in a remote village. When she is unjustly accused of murder, she takes her son and runs away from the city. There, she rents a room and gets a job as a saleswoman in a store, while her child attends the local school.
