In a small taiga town, everything is ruled by an invisible master, whose empire is built on illegal gold mining. Through the prospectors, it's easy to fall victim to the millstones of the corrupt system he's created, which protects itself. Egor, a tough nut to crack-a man of his word, principles, and honor-has fallen into these millstones. He refuses to adapt to circumstances or accept the master's power; he wants to live by his conscience.
