The mini-series "Joan" is a crime drama based on the true story of British thief Joan Hannington. The twenty-year-old girl becomes involved with a notorious mobster and gives birth to their daughter, Debbie. But when her influential husband disappears, Joan is forced to make a living and raise her child on her own. She takes control of her husband's criminal business and becomes the most wanted jewel thief in London. For her exploits, the girl earns the nickname "The Godmother."
