TV series description

Black Moth is a female-centric eco-fantasy series about an ordinary fourteen-year-old girl, Alice Evergreen, whose life is turned upside down when she discovers that her music has the power to transform her into the environmental superhero known as The Black Moth. Inexperienced, imperfect and filled with self-doubt, Alice must learn to overcome her limitations in order to save the Forest of Cascadia and restore the balance in nature. It's a daunting task, but fortunately Alice doesn't have to do it alone. She has the friendship and support of Tim, Gamma, and En - three teenaged superheroes who were raised in secrecy by their "Aunt Tallah", a human Forest Ranger who took them in after their parents disappeared in a battle against the villain Ekal. Working together, these four young heroes must learn to master their eco-powers while navigating life as both teenagers and protectors of nature. Black Moth explores themes of identity, family, friendship, and the complex relationship between humanity and the environment. From teenagers Alice, En and Gamma, to the ancient and mysterious Soul of the Forest, and the parental role models of Alice's mom and the Guardians' Aunt Tallah, Black Moth emphasizes female strength and resiliency. With a female-led production team shaping the series, the first season of Black Moth consists of ten 22-minute episodes to be completed by October 2025. Season 2 is already in pre-production, with plans to deliver 16 additional episodes in the Fall of 2026.
