The series "1899" is a German-American mystical drama about a sea voyage between continents. In 1899, European immigrants from different countries set sail for New York on ships. In the open ocean, they come across an abandoned vessel, freely drifting in neutral waters. It turns out that this ship disappeared several months ago on its way to America. The sailors decide to explore the ship, but on board, they discover something unimaginable.
