Emilia Clarke

The English actress Emilia Clarke is widely recognized for her part in the hit HBO series "Game of Thrones." She was born on October 23, 1986. She was drawn to acting from an early age. She received her early training at the Drama Centre London, where she performed in various theatrical shows including "Breakfast at Tiffany's." After that, she received her diploma from the Drama Centre London in the year 2009.

Emilia's mom is the director of a charitable organization ‘The Anima Foundation,’ and her late father worked as a theatre sound engineer before passing away on July 10, 2016. 

She made her TV debut as a supporting actor in an episode of the English soap series "Doctors." She later went on to perform her breakout role as Daenerys Targaryen in the epic HBO series "Game of Thrones" for which she garnered multiple honors and nominations including four-time nominations for Primetime Emmy awards.

Moving onto the big screen, Clarke featured in a variety of movies such as "Terminator Genesis," "Me Before You," "Voice from the Stone," and "Solo: A Star Wars Story".

Clarke was once rated ‘the most desirable lady in the world’ by AskMen readers and was also awarded ‘Esquire's Sexiest Woman Alive’ in 2015. 

Besides being gorgeous and talented, she is an independent and strong person who is an ardent advocate of feminism. On International Women's Day 2017, the English actress penned an op-ed in ‘HuffPost UK’ explaining her views on feminism and gender equality. 

Her other films "Spike Island" and "Shackled" were released in 2012. Later, she also played Evelyn Hemingway in "Dom Hemingway." Clarke also played the leading role of Sarah Connor in "Terminator Genesis." The movie was a box-office hit but was not liked by the critics, however, her performance was applauded by all. 

She appeared in 2016's "Me Before You." She voiced Bridget in a "Robot Chicken" episode that same year. In 2017 she voiced episodes of "Animals" and "Thunderbirds Are Go." 

Emilia Clarke dated the director and comedian Seth MacFarlane for around six months before calling quits. However, it is to be noted that despite the fact that Clarke and MacFarlane are no longer together, their friendship remains strong. 

Emilia disclosed her history of two life-threatening brain aneurysms in 2011 and 2013 in an article of her own that was published in The New Yorker in the year 2019. Same year, she established her own charitable organization called SameYou, the mission of which is to increase access to neurorehabilitation for young people who have suffered a stroke or traumatic brain injury.
