There are some actors in Hollywood that aren't considered A-list and don't have a long filmography but still are extremely memorable for their appearance, relationship, or great talent. Liam Hemsworth fits all of the above.
Liam Hemsworth is an Australian native, born in Melbourne, Australia on January 13, 1990. He is the youngest of three brothers, who are also actors with one being Chris Hemsworth, Hollywood's beloved Thor, and the other, Luke Hemsworth who has a leading role in the hit tv series, "Westworld". In high school, Liam spent a lot of his time participating in school plays and began to consider strongly taking up acting as a full-time job. He worked in construction laying down floors for six months before he moved to the United States to pursue his acting career at the age of 19 in 2009. That same year, Liam was asked to do a test screening for the role of Thor but ultimately lost the part to his brother, Chris.
It wasn't until 2010 that Liam landed a role opposite Miley Cyrus for the film "The Last Song" that sparked attention and opportunity for the new potential heartthrob of Hollywood. Not only did it bring more opportunity to Hemsworth but a keen love interest as well. The two started dating since the making of the film and it might be fair to say that the relationship brought nothing but benefit on Liam's behalf. Miley Cyrus was already an established star and her notoriety brought more popularity to Liam, enhancing his chances for his career. By 2012, Hemsworth was cast for a co-star role in the film series, "The Hunger Games" alongside Jennifer Lawrence. What a sweet deal considering there would be three other film releases in the following years to come! (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire 2013, The Hunger Games: Mocking Jay Part 1, 2014, and Mocking Jay Part 2, 2015). Although Liam and Miley have been on and off since the start of their relationship, in the summer of 2012, the couple had announced their engagement and were living together in Los Angeles, California. By September 2013, the engagement was called off. Fast forward three years later, Miley had been spotted by Malibu paparazzi wearing an engagement ring. It was later confirmed that the inseparable couple was engaged to be married for a second time on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in October 2016. That same year, Liam starred in a lead role for the film “Independence Day: Resurgence” which serves as a sequel to the original “Independence Day” (1996).
Things were going well for Hemsworth but unfortunately took a downfall in November 2018 when he and Miley lost their home to the Woolsey Wildfire. He posted a picture on his social media of the char and rubble and also said a few kind and uplifting words, offering praise to the people of his community who helped with the consequences of the natural disaster. Liam and Miley made a joint $500,000 donation to the Malibu Foundation which was created to help deal with matters caused by the unfortunate event. Hemsworth and Cyrus finally married in December 2018 and by August 2019 were separated for good, due to irreconcilable differences. Divorce was finalized by 2020. It seemed to be that the two just grew apart showing opposite character traits in media. Miley being more open and wild with Liam being more private and reserved. It often seemed that Hemsworth was embarrassed of Miley during her outlandish antics during interviews and public events. Hemsworth is still acting today with word of a new movie “Poker Face” to be released sometime this year.
