The Gorge

In the Christmas montage they first play chess (a nod to Taylor-Joy's part in The Queen's Gambit) and then move on to drums (a reference to Teller's breakthrough in Whiplash). That sequence was in the script before either actor was cast, and when both requested it be cut the producers insisted it stay. Taylor-Joy later said they were glad to have been overruled, since audiences enjoyed it.
